Pastoral Training

Theology training

In many Churches, the Pastor never got the chance to get a proper bible training, Why? Well it works a bit different here in Latin-America, not every church but in the majority of the cases whenever a church goes without their pastor for wherever reason that it may be, usually one of the deacons or elders will become the new pastor of the church.

As you can imagine this Deacon or Elder had already his own side job (most of the Pastors in Latin America work in secular jobs) plus in most of the cases also have their families, because of this reason is hard for Pastors to take one year off to go and get bible training in a bible Institute or Seminar. For many year part of my ministry has been going to their local churches and help them to understand more the bible and how-to interpreter correctly the scriptures.

Many times, when we see or hear Pastors saying or even doing things that may not be very biblical immediately we mark a big X on that church or pastor, I have find out that a lot of times they just don’t know better. Because of this reason we teach them theological subjects that we divide in blokes of different weeks.

Because of our structure is weekly, it gives the chance for Pastors from the USA to come and be a big and essential part in the bible education of this Pastors. I received my bible education in Word of Life Argentina. It allowed me to teach and share knowledge with them, whenever I feel myself not being prepper to teach a subject I look for the person qualified to do it.

Some of the subjects we study

Bibliology
Hermeneutics
Pneumatology
Eschatology
Homiletics
Old testament
New testament
Doctrinal books
Life of Jesus
Biblical counseling
Church Finance

Church’s Vision

Many times, when we start our Pastoral training program the Pastors and church leaders that come gets really excited because always increasing the biblical knowledge specially for a Pastor is very beneficial and productive, as one day somebody said, “A Pastor will take his congregation as far as he knows” Pastors cannot take people to where they have not been.

It brings us to the question, What’s the purpose of your church? We are not talking about the General purpose of the Church of Christ, but what is the purpose of your church specially in the community where the church is located, many times, churches has not a local purpose and Pastors don’t have goals.

We take Pastors and talk about how their church can get more involved in the community, how to stablish goals for their church and goals for the community through the church.
