ISSP Internship Program

You just completed a mission trip, saw God use your life but you sense the need for more mission exposure. What’s next? The Internship Program provides the opportunity to spend an extended time in Costa Rica getting to know the people and be immersed in the culture.

If you are preparing for ministry or wanting a closer walk with God, this program is for you!

Kids Ministry

In most public and private schools’ grammar English is taught, however, Conversational English is not. You will help the kids on a regular basis by giving them a change to practice their English and directly influence their lives. Local church ministry is also available, you will be involve in kids programs, also will have the option to eventually help the local church to start their kids program if there is not. As your Spanish grows and depending in your ability to communicate one other option is to get involve in discipleship.

Youth Ministry

Similar to Elementary school, the work in high school is very needed, as well as the help in local churches with their youth ministry, some churches don’t have any activities for youth because their don’t have any one who could lead the activities, you will be very welcome to help start a youth ministry in a local church that does not have it.

Sports

If your thing is sport, well, depending in the level of your skills we could reach the community under your line of sport, also helping churches – schools – and orphanage through that sport could be very beneficial too!

Medical

If you are a student of some branch of medicine and while you are learning Spanish you want to get involve in the medical community we can help you to get involve in a clinic, also travel to places were doctors don’t go often and help them with primary medical attention.

Travel to indigenous Reservations

The work there is very various.

Orphanage

We are working with an established orphanage in Costa Rica that will give you “hand-on” experience. You can help with homework, mentoring, exhibiting a spiritual influence, being a friend and playing with themThe work we do in orphanages is not the work of babysitting kids but more the intentional work of helping them to grow in a more integral way, Spiritually – Emotionally – Physically.

Spiritualy

We conduct a little church service once per week, plus in “one on one” time. (depends on your Spanish)

Emotionally

By teaching them to play Musical instruments – Singing Clases – Computer clases and more.

Physically

Sports and games are very important to.

Churches

You will have opportunities to be involved in local churches.
